As Power BI deployments grow, costs escalate, performance degrades, and governance gaps widen. The platform expands faster than the team's ability to manage it. Tenant settings configured years ago no longer reflect the organisation's security posture. New features get enabled by default without anyone making a conscious decision.
Most organisations don't have someone whose sole focus is Power BI governance and security. It's one responsibility among many for a team already stretched thin with report development, capacity management, and user support. The governance work is important but never urgent enough to reach the top of the list.
That's where we come in. We bring dedicated focus and cross-industry experience to the governance and security challenges that internal teams rarely have time to address properly.
Dr Steve Fox leads Analytics in Action with over twenty years of analytics experience across enterprise and government. His background includes building analytics and machine learning capability at Microsoft UK, managing analytics at ANZ National Bank, and serving as VP of Analytics at Vend (now Lightspeed).
That breadth of experience across industries, scales, and organisational contexts is central to how we work. Every environment is different, and understanding how governance and security requirements vary across sectors is what allows us to make recommendations that are both technically sound and practically workable.
