Our Origins

Working with enterprise clients across multiple sectors and countries, we observed a consistent challenge: organizations struggled to manage their expanding Power BI environments effectively. Large-scale deployments often led to escalating costs, performance issues, and governance complexities. This recognition of a critical market need led to the founding of Analytics in Action. Our mission emerged from direct experience with these challenges and a deep understanding of how to solve them.

Leadership

Dr. Steve Fox, who leads our consultancy, brings extensive commercial experience in analytics across multiple industries and regions. His career has included leadership roles such as developing Microsoft UK’s Analytics and Machine Learning capabilities and managing analytics for ANZ National in New Zealand. Over the past ten years, he has provided analytics consulting to diverse commercial clients, ranging from emerging tech startups to established multinational corporations such as Salesforce APAC. Steve also collaborates closely with Microsoft as a subject matter expert, focusing on optimizing large Power BI and Fabric environments.
